New Worship Pastor

Good things come to those who wait.  We are excited about welcoming

to our New River family, MJ and Angela Clement.  MJ is coming in as our

new worship pastor and starts this weekend.  MJ brings several years

of experience and over 10 worship records under his belt.  We have

been eagerly seeking God on the right person to be a part of what God

is doing and going to do here at New River.  We have gone through a

good size stack of applicants.   I want to thank so many of you who have

given us contacts to look into.  There were some wonderful men and

women of God with incredible talents and hearts for God.  But in the end

God has directed us to Michael John. 

  I want to personally thank my brother Jarod Smith.  Jarod had come on

board as our youth pastor.  But when I wanted to begin using our own

people for worship, Jarod agreed to lead out for the season until we secured

a worship pastor.   I can’t thank Jarod enough for all that he has done

during this season.  With MJ coming in Jarod is now able to concentrate

fulltime on what God is calling him to do. 

    The Clements arrive here in Weatherford late Tuesday night from

Alabama and will be leading out during this weekend’s services.  Be sure

to welcome them in and let them know you’re glad they are here.
