Megan Lacefield serves as the Children’s Pastor.  She has been working with kids since graduation. She worked as a cheerleading coach before being called to full time ministry. She has served in the children’s ministry at New River since 2000. She provides vision, leadership and oversight to the Kids ministry staff and volunteer leaders. She also enjoys using her gifts and talents ministering to children’s ministry leaders and volunteers leading training seminars for other churches and serves as an Ambassador for Group Publishing.

The call on Megan’s life is to equip parents to be the primary disciplers of their kids. (Deut 6:4-9) Her desire is to invest in and equip families to teach their kids spiritual truths because what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. She believes that ultimately we want everything we teach to be taken home and lived out in the everyday circumstances of life. She is also dedicated to providing opportunities for families to worship, learn and serve together.

Megan and her husband Chad have been married since 1995 and have two amazing children, Chandler and Riley. Chad and Megan’s core values for their family are to love God, have fun, and make memories!  They love to watch their kids play sports and hang out with friends and family.
